Living by the Clock
Hello everyone! As soon as I find my camera bag I can upload pictures of some of my do-it-yourself projects. But for now all I can blog about is my own thoughts.
Today I have been thinking about time and how quickly it is passing by. Every year it seams to increase in speed. My friends are beginning to get married, and have babies, and buy houses, and I'm even joining the band wagon. I've been married for almost two months. When Andrew and I were dating it felt like the longest journey to the altar. But here we are, finally married and settled in.
Sometimes we live our lives looking forward and miss everything that is going on around us. God tells us to not worry about tomorrow because it will take care of itself. (Matt 6:34) God has already seen what is going to happen to us before we can even imagine that event taking place. So why do we always want more then what we're given at a specific time?
Right now my husband and I are working a lot. We are attempting to increase the number in our savings to prepare for future expenses. We don't get to see each other very much. Sometimes I hear us saying "If only" or "I wish" but thankfully we mostly say "God will take care of us." This trial is exactly what we need at the beginning of our marriage. It will help us cling to our Savior and each other. We are living day to day only by faith that our LORD will provide. We have to take advantage of the small moments we get to be together.
I guess the challenge for you today is:
1) Live in the moment
2) Live by faith
Don't let the clock rule your life.
